Mix it up
Create and play your first DJ set and enjoy some delicious cocktails while you’re at it.
After a brief introduction to the equipment controls and setup, we’ll train you to hear songs in a specific way: identifying structure, time signature, key, and phrasing, so you can distinguish between tracks and choose which music to play.
On the decks, you’ll learn how to cue a track, count and synchronise beats and bars, blend, scratch, and do some drop mixing, fade mixing, and crossfades. We’ll also explore a few creative digital effects, like delay and reverb.
When you’re not at one of the DJ workstations, you’ll be at our cocktail station, learning and sampling a different kind of mix.
